Bernice Chauly – Subtle Storyteller: Winner of Samsung’s Ultra Honour award

Samsung honours outstanding Malaysians

KUALA LUMPUR: Samsung Malaysia Electronics Sdn Bhd honoured three individuals at its Ultra Honours function recently.

The event is part of Samsung’s regional search for inspiring personalities in several countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Those three individuals chosen in Malaysia are successful budget airline operator Datuk Tony Fernandes, influential fashion designer Rizalman Ibrahim, and filmmaker/writer/photographer Bernice Chauly.

They have each carved a niche in their respective careers, thus raising the bar in their professional fields, announced Samsung.

Samsung general manager for marketing, Jimmy Tan Chee Wee, said:
“Bernice, Rizalman and Tony embody the Ultra Life (characteristics) that Samsung advocates.”

“They test boundaries and forge new ground, celebrating the resilience of the human spirit with their tenacity. We are proud to bring together these inspirational and undeniably talented individuals,” he said.

According to Tan, the characteristics of the three are an ideal backdrop to Samsung’s Ultra Edition mobile phones.

This series, he said, illustrates Samsung’s attention to consumer needs; these are smaller and thinner handsets that do not compromise on reliability or multimedia capabilities, he said.
